Out-of-Hours Service

During the week, out of hours refers to the period of time between 18:30 at night and 08:00 the following morning. Weekends and public holidays are also out of hours. During these times, please call 111 if your medical needs are urgent and cannot wait until the surgery reopens.

When the Surgery is closed, you can telephone our switchboard and your call will be transferred directly to the out-of-hours provider. Your call will be assessed by a clinical advisor and will pass this information to a doctor or nurse who will phone back with advice or, if necessary, arrange for you to see a doctor at the emergency centre or receive a home visit.

Call 999 in a life-threatening emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Disability Access

Please let one of our patient services team know if you have any additional needs or requirements when visiting.

For our disabled patients, there is reserved marked parking at the front entrance and easy access to the Surgery facilities. Consulting rooms, treatment rooms, waiting rooms, toilets and the reception area are fully accessible to wheelchair-bound patients.

A wheelchair is available by request at reception. Those patients who are elderly or disabled and have transport difficulties should mention this when making appointments. Our patient services team will endeavour to help you make suitable arrangements to attend the surgery.

We have portable hearing loop devices available and we can book a sign language professional to support you at appointments. Please let us know if you require this service at the time of submitting your online consultation.

Would all patients please note that the car park is a public area and when using these facilities you do so at your own risk. The back car park is owned by Dacorum Borough Council and the Practice is not responsible for its repair. All safety issues have been reported to the relevant department.
