Three strikes and we rethink

Bennetts End Surgery is supporting Jess’s Rule.

Jess’s Rule is a primary care initiative to encourage GP teams to rethink a diagnosis if a patient presents three times with the same symptoms or concerns, particularly if symptoms unexpectedly persist, escalate, or remain unexplained.

This is especially important if symptoms:

• Do not go away as expected
• Get worse over time
• Do not have a clear explanation

The idea is simple: three visits are a sign that something might need another look.
